Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner crashed a kids’ superhero party in Detroit, Michigan over the weekend after asking if their son could join in the fun.
The Hollywood couple stopped by Detroit Kid City on Sunday and inquired about allowing two-year-old Samuel to take part in the festivities after learning the children’s play center was closed for a private Superman-themed event.
The actors’ request was graciously granted by the party’s hosts and Affleck even expressed interest in launching the franchise in their home base of Los Angeles.
Detroit Kid City employee Garrett Dixon tells the Detroit Free Press, “I spoke with Ben for 10 or 15 minutes and he was very pleased with the facility. He was very interested in getting a Detroit Kid City out in L.A. He said they had a blast and will definitely be in contact with us.”
Ironically, Affleck is currently in Detroit shooting the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, in which he portrays the Caped Crusader opposite Henry Cavill’s Superman.
