Lana Del Rey’s bizarre behavior continued during a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, when she insisted she wasn’t worthy of becoming a cover girl for the publication.
Just weeks after she accused a British journalist of manipulating a chat for The Guardian, during which she announced she wished she was dead, the Summertime Sadness star has stunned another reporter by insisting someone else should have been given the honor of fronting the respected music bible.
After trying to cancel her interview with senior writer Brian Hiatt, Del Rey told him, “I’m not sure if they should run this story. I feel like maybe we should wait until there’s something good to talk about. You know? I just wish you could write about something else.
“There has to be someone else to be the cover story. Like, there has to be. Anybody.”
Ironically, Del Rey is the perfect cover girl for Rolling Stone – after performing on the eve of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s wedding, she topped charts all over the world with her new album Ultraviolence.
During the Rolling Stone interview, the singer also revisited her “wish I was dead” comments, stating, “Well, I feel f**king crazy, but I don’t think I am. People make me feel crazy… I find that most people I meet figure I kind of want to kill myself anyway.”
