‘Two And A Half Men’ May Be Too Expensive
While its ratings are good, Two and a Half Men may not make it to a tenth season. A source close to the show claims that the show may be too expensive for CBS, who are currently negotiating with Ashton Kutcher for a return. Kutcher was initially signed for just one season and got $15.4 million for it.
“Right now it’s all about the money,” said the source. “CBS would have to give Ashton Kutcher a huge raise to stay on for another season, plus the rest of the cast makes a ton a money already. It might just be worth it to end on a huge note.”
The source added, “Discussions are still happening, but right now it’s looking like it’s 50/50 at best for renewal.”
Eh its not worth it. Ashton isn’t worth $15.4 mil let alone a pay increase.
I wonder if Hugh Grant got the same offer ($15.4)? I still think he would have been great.
I would have loved Hugh Grant! 🙂
I still can’t imagine someone getting paid that much for a season. It just seems insane to me 🙂
I agree about the money. Jim Parsons makes $200K an episode on BBT which is about a 1/3 of what Ashton makes and Ashton is certain not better than Sheldon!
Yeah I completely agree. And Two And Half Men has been on for years anyways – it would be a good time to just bring the series to a close and let people move onto new projects.
Ever since Jake/Angus grew up the show hasn’t been that great. IMO. So yeah just bring the show to an end. Would have been nice if they could have ended with Charlie tho. JM- Jim Parsons makes $200k per episode? Wow! I heard Angus makes $300k for Men.
Ashton sucks. He killed the show. If they had made the kid’s stepfather the second man, they could have preserved the show and changed the dynamic in an interesting way. Instead, they inserted a douchey Kutcher. I will be happy to see the series end. People still watch the syndicated version with Charlie Sheen at near the top of the ratings, but NO ONE wants to watch Kutcher.
