‘One Tree Hill’ Said Goodbye To Fans With Season Highs

Last night, One Tree Hill said goodbye to fans after nearly a decade run which originally started on The WB network. The special two-hour series finale produced the highest rated Wednesday night (women 18-34) in more than a year for the network.

We think it’s save to say that One Tree Hill‘s dedicated fan base wasn’t about to miss the finale last night! The series had a strong run – 9 years! Still it’s always hard to say goodbye to series that has stuck around for such a long time. Many fans feel as if they’ve grown up with the series, and they’re not alone – many of the show’s cast feels the same way.

“For this to have been our job, to grow up here and evolve as people and as characters, it’s huge,” Sophia Bush said in the special that aired before the finale.

“I feel like these characters sort of exist on their own now,” said One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwahn. “Even though I’m not sitting down and writing ‘Fade In’ every week, it feels like they’re still there. I think it’s always going to feel that way.”

We’re sure fans feel that way too. What did you think of last night’s One Tree Hill finale? Sound off in our comment section below!
