‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Star Chris Pratt and Wife Anna Faris Turned to Religion when Son was Born Prematurely

Chris Pratt and his wife Anna Faris turned to religion as their premature newborn son recovered in hospital.

The actress gave birth to Jack nine weeks early in 2012 and the pair spent the first month at his side while he remained in intensive care.

During the upsetting time, they turned to their faith to will Jack to get healthy.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star tells People magazine, “We were scared for a long time. We prayed a lot… It brought me closer to my family and it restored my faith in God, not that it needed to be restored, but it really redefined it. It showed me who in my life is really close to me.”

Pratt and Faris wed in 2009 and the couple’s son Jack will turn two next month. Anna is Chris’ first wife, while Anna was previously married to actor Ben Indra.
