‘Twisted’ Star Avan Jogia Cast as King Tut in Spike’s ‘Tut’
Twisted star Avan Jogia has been cast as King Tut in the Spike TV original miniseries Tut, also starring Sir Ben Kingsley.
According to The Hollywood Reporter,the limited series is based on the life of the Boy King. Ben Kingsley was cast last month as Ay, King Tut’s influential grand vizier.
Avan and Kingsley apparently crossed paths about 3 years ago and Jogia took to Twitter to reflect on the meeting:

Tut will be filmed between Canada and Morocco and is expected to debut on Spike in fall of 2015.
As an Egyptian history nerd and a fan of Jogia’s, I’ll definitely be on the look out for this one. Are you excited about the debut of Tut?
