‘Arrested Development’ will Return to Netflix for New Season

Arrested Development fans are doing the Chicken Dance all across the country today as Netflix has announced that it plans to film a new season of the comedy.

The canceled-to-soon series was revived by Netflix last year and ever since fans have been looking forward to another season, but there has been no real word one way or the other. Although no production dates are set in stone yet, we at least have word that the Bluth fam cometh.

According to USA Today, chief content officer Ted Sarandos says that he’s “positive” the show will return, although “It’s just a matter of when.” Planning for the new season is contingent on the cast’s schedules.

Will Arnett visited Today to promote his new film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and confirmed the news to Carson Daly as well saying, “We are going to do more Arrested Development. Ted Sarandos and Netflix kind of let the cat out of the bag on that one. It’s something we all want to do so we’re excited.”

What has George Bluth Sr. always told us? “There’s always money in the banana stand.” Netflix knows what’s up.
