ABC Cancels Kelly Reilly’s Series ‘Black Box’

ABC has announced that the drama series Black Box has been cancelled after its first season. The show starred Kelly Reilly as a neurologist suffering from a bipolar disorder.

All 13 episodes of the show that were filmed for the show were broadcast.

Black Box started with a 1.5 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic on Thursday, April 24 at 10PM. Ratings then fell off for the show, which caused ABC to move the series to the Thursday 8PM time slot. That timeslot is long considered a dead zone. The show bottomed out with a 0.7 rating for its last episode, which aired on July 24.
