‘The Big Bang Theory’ Star Mayim Bialik to Host ‘Candid Camera’

Mayim Bialik, whom you may recognize as the title character in Blossom and/or Amy Farrah Fowler from The Big Bang Theory, has a new gig as the host of Candid Camera.

The hidden camera/practical joke reality television series was created and produced by Allen Funt in the 1940s, originally on the radio! The modern day version with Bialik is premiering this week on TV Land? She’ll be working with Allen Funt’s son, Peter Funt.

Bialik said of her new role on Candid Camera: “It is kind of a giant social experiment to see how people behave when there’s no logical explanation for why things are happening. It’s fascinating to see how people try to make sense of these gags.”

Mayim boasts an impressive resume with an Emmy nomination and PhD in neuroscience under her belt!

According to TVLand, Candid Camera is airing new episodes Monday, August 11th through Thursday, August 14th at 8pm ET/PT, before taking its regularly scheduled spot on Tuesdays at 8pm ET/PT, starting on August 19th.
