‘Secret Circle’ Alum Phoebe Tonkin Comes To ‘Vampire Diaries’ For Season 4

The Secret Circle alum Phoebe Tonkin will be joining the cast of The Vampire Diaries. The Australian actress is set to play Hayley, a character who will be causing problems for one of our favorite couples – Tyler and Caroline.

Hayley is described as wild, sexy and free-spirited friend that Tyler (played by Michael Trevino) shares a pas with. We won’t see her in the Season 4 premiere, but fans can expect to see her arrival in episode 3 this fall.

When we last saw Tyler, his body had been taken over by Klaus (played by Joseph Morgan). Caroline believes that she said goodbye to Tyler… but she doesn’t realize that he is still alive. We’ll get to see that play out early next season as well.

The Vampire Diaries returns on Thursday, October 11th! Just about 2 months from now!
