‘The Leftovers’ Sneak Peek- Episode 1.09: The Garveys at Their Best

An all new episode of The Leftovers comes on HBO tonight, bringing us one episode closer to the series’ first season finale.

You can tell that the season finale is building up to something huge and I’m excited as well as nervous to see what that is. Kevin continued to lose it and continued to try and figure out what happens during his blackouts. Jill finally asked Aimee what was up between her and Kevin, which we’ve been wondering all season as well. We found out who was responsible for Gladys’ death and saw a Guilty Remnants member horrifyingly take their own life, but not before confusingly explaining the point of the cult and Kevin finally found his white shirts, although not where he hoped they’d be. Also, a surprising cast member joined the Guilty Remnants by the end of the episode.

Kevin tries to suppress his bad habits while tracking down a marauding deer in Mapleton. Laurie receives not-unexpected news amidst a rising sense of foreboding. Tom connects with his past, against his better judgment. Nora has a job interview; Kevin Senior (Scott Glenn) receives an honor.
