Jessica Alba’s The Honest Company Close to Grossing $1B in Just Two Years

Jessica Alba’s lifestyle endeavour The Honest Company has grossed almost $1 billion in just two years.

The Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For star launched the company, which sells natural, non-toxic items including diapers, household cleaners and vitamins, in 2012 and it is expected to earn $150 million in 2014, with most of its profits coming from the company’s monthly subscription plans.

Executives for the organization are now planning to expand into China, England and Australia and they are thinking of taking the company public on the stock market.

Honest chief executive and co-founder Brian Lee, says, “We believe being a public company is the best path for us going forward and it’s good to get that validation early on.

“I can’t say when that will be, but we are definitely starting to think and act like a public company.”

Executive Jeremy Liew praises Alba for bringing her celebrity to the company to help drive its profits.

He says, “She is an international star. We’re starting to see a lot of demand from her fans around the world.”

Alba adds, “We value the support of our partners and customers in helping us make a meaningful impact in the marketplace. We dream big at The Honest Company and continuously strive to make the world healthier and more sustainable today and in the future.
