New Persona 5 Teaser Revealed, PlayStation 4 Version and Release Date Announced

Announced at Tokyo Game Show, we learned a little bit of new details regarding the mysterious upcoming Persona 5. Originally announced last year alongside the Etrian Odyssey-styled Persona Q: Shadows of the Labyrinth and the rhythm game, Persona 4: Dancing All Night, there wasn’t much for Persona 5 in the initial reveal. Just a teaser video of a red background with chairs and shackles, a Holiday 2014 release window, and being exclusive to the PlayStation 3. It’s been nearly a year since and things have been kinda quiet on that front, but a new teaser trailer came out during TGS that sheds a little more light on what’s to come. While not much, we do get to see some animated footage of the setting of the game as well as the protagonist. The trailer then goes on to show that the release window has been pushed back to 2015, but quite possibly the biggest news is that it’s going cross gen for release. Joining the original PS3 confirmation, Persona 5 will also be coming to the PlayStation 4. The trailer can be viewed below.
