‘The Leftovers’ Sneak Peek- Episode 1.10: The Prodigal Son Returns

Tonight marks the end of the first season of HBO’s hit series The Leftovers and man will we be sad to see this one go (for a while).

Two weeks ago, we finally got a glimpse into the lives of the Garveys and other townspeople of Mapleton just before the Sudden Departure happened and were given the opportunity to see how the characters we know now changed as a result, as well as what they were doing at the time of the Departure. It seems that a common trait throughout the people we know were taken is that in that moment, they seemed to cause the ones left behind some sort of conflict in their lives, be it a mistress, a rowdy family or an unexpected pregnancy.

An unexpected ally helps Kevin (Justin Theroux) get out of a jam near the town of Cairo. Meanwhile, an elaborate Memorial Day initiative by the Guilty Remnant plunges Mapleton into chaos. Holy Wayne (Paterson Joseph) grants a final wish; Tom (Chris Zylka) copes with his new reality; Nora (Carrie Coon) makes a life-changing decision.
