Jessica Alba’s The Honest Company Opens Los Angeles Medical Facility

Jessica Alba’ has taken her lifestyle firm The Honest Company to new heights by opening a new Los Angeles medical facility aimed at researching the impact of environmental chemicals on children’s health.

The Sin City: A Dame to Kill For beauty, who launched the brand in 2012, helped to unveil The Honest Company Ultra Clean Room at Mount Sinai Hospital on Wednesday, when she took part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The new lab will allow medics to make use of state-of-the-art technology to investigate the direct correlation between toxins in the environment and their affects on children’s health.

Speaking at the grand opening, Alba said, “To be part of the next phase of research is a dream come true.”

The mother-of-two also shared a photo of the event on Instagram, alongside a caption which reads: “We’re so honored to be part of the future of chemical research at #mtsinai #honestultraclean @honest”.

Meanwhile, in a statement celebrating the opening, hospital boss Dr. Kenneth L. Davis writes, “The new clean room will be an integral part of our Laboratory for Molecular Environment Chemistry and further establishes Mount Sinai as the leader in the field of children’s environmental health.”

The Honest Company was founded to provide parents with access to non-toxic and eco-friendly baby products and household goods. The firm has been so successful, it was recently valued at almost $1 billion.
