‘Mean Girls’ Star Jonathan Bennett Agreed to ‘Dancing With the Stars’ to Honor Parents

Mean Girls star Jonathan Bennett signed up for the new season of U.S. TV series Dancing With the Stars to honor his late parents.

The actor, known for his role as school hunk Aaron Samuels in the Tina Fey-penned comedy, lost his mom in 2012 and his dad this past April, and the double tragedy prompted Bennett to dance away his heartache.

He tells his local Ohio newspaper the Toledo Blade, “I’m doing every performance for both my parents because I know how much they would love to see me on this.

“I just lost my father to brain cancer not but three months ago and this was his favorite show on television. When he was sick in (the) hospice, the only show he wanted to watch was Dancing With the Stars because he said this show made him feel good.”

But there will be no romance on the dance show for single Bennett – he has been paired with newlywed dance pro Allison Holker.
