Jada Pinkett-Smith Bonded with Angelina Jolie Over Anti-Human Trafficking Activism

Jada Pinkett-Smith has a whole new level of respect for Angelina Jolie after she went to great lengths to help set up her campaign against human trafficking.

Will Smith’s wife has become an outspoken activist in the fight against the illegal sex trade in recent years after setting up her Don’t Sell Bodies organization, which aims to bring an end to the exploitation of woman and children around the world.

However, the actress reveals she owes a lot to fellow humanitarian Jolie, who serves as Special Envoy to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, for going out of her way to put Pinkett-Smith in touch with the right people.

Speaking to Health magazine, Jada explains, “Angelina Jolie and I, we’re not friends, but when I called her about my human trafficking endeavours, she went all in. And I really appreciated that because there are not a lot of times that you can call upon people in our business and get serious help.

“She put me in contact with the people I needed to be in contact with, she sent me books, sent me all the information she had.

“I’m not saying that Angelina and I are, like, girlfriends and kicking it every day, but when you call another woman who’s in a position to lend support to you and she just jumps right in there – that’s sisterhood.”
