Bryan Cranston in Talks to Join Matt Damon in ‘The Great Wall’

Bryan Cranston is in talks to reunite with his Contagion co-star Matt Damon in Chinese director Zhang Yimou’s new movie, The Great Wall.

Damon is currently working on scheduling to determine if he can commit to the mystery thriller, centred around the construction of the Great Wall of China, and now Cranston is in early negotiations to join the cast, reports Deadline.com.

If they both sign on to the project, it will be their second movie together after they both appeared in Steven Soderbergh’s 2011 (Atlanta-filmed) medical thriller Contagion.

The script for The Great Wall has been penned by Tony Gilroy, the same writer behind the Bourne action series, which Damon also starred in.

Yimou has directed many other films including The Flowers of War, starring Christian Bale (a film that Matt Damon was almost cast in) and Curse of the Golden Flower, starring Chow Yun-Fat.
