Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kate Bosworth and Simon Pegg are among the celebrities that have thrown their support behind embattled actress Emma Watson after hackers threatened to leak nude pictures of her just days after her hard-hitting pro-feminism speech.
Watson hit headlines after addressing United Nations (U.N.) delegates in New York on Saturday in her role as a Goodwill Ambassador to promote the organization’s HeForShe campaign.
Hackers targeted the actress a day after her gender equality speech and threatened to release nude pictures of her on Friday as part of the ongoing leaks which have affected stars across Hollywood.
Watson has now received a wave of celebrity support with numerous stars throwing their weight behind the campaign.
Fellow actress Kate Bosworth sent Watson a message on Tuesday calling her speech “powerful” while British star Pegg wrote, “Husband to a wife, father to a daughter, son to a mother. You bet I’m on board, @EmWatson! #heforshe.”
