Snoop Dogg Sets Up Crowdfunding Campaign for Youth Football Team

Snoop Dogg has set up a campaign urging the public to pledge donations to a youth football team.

The hip-hop star created the page on crowdfunding site Tilt.com to raise money for the Inner City Urban Development (ICUD) football league in Des Moines, Iowa.

He hopes $20,000 will be pledged to the community organization by October 22 so officials can continue to offer athletics to inner city youths.

The rapper, a certified football coach, writes, “As soon as I saw this story, I knew we had to help these kids out… Over 10 years ago, I started the Snoop Youth Football League (SYFL) in LA. My commitment to youth football programs is a cause that is close to my heart and I’m looking to you to help support these kids. Together, we can help fund this League that teaches our youth the most important life skills: dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship.”

If the campaign is successful, all players will receive safer helmets and new equipment.
