HBO Creating Salem Witch Trials Series

Jenji Kohan (Weeds) is developing a show on HBO about the Salem Witch Trials. The untitled series will explore the details of the trials, when many innocent people were accused of being witches and subsequently murdered by their community. It was a time of intolerance and mass hysteria.

Kohan will write the series with Bruce Miller (Eureka) and Tracy Miller. Kohan and Miller will also executive produce. Miller will be a supervising producer. Lionsgate TV will produce, as they have an overall deal with Kohan.
