‘Bewitched’ Reboot in Development

Studio bosses are developing a rebooted version of iconic TV series Bewitched on the 50th anniversary of its debut.

The original supernatural comedy series, starring Elizabeth Montgomery as a nose-wrinkling housewife witch, launched in October, 1964 and ran for eight seasons, becoming one of the most beloved programs of all time.

Now executives at Sony Pictures TV are hoping to recreate the same magic with a modern version of the show, according to Deadline. Also according to the site “here is already interest from multiple networks in the modern-day take.”

The Vow writers Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein have been recruited to pen the script, with Red Wagon Entertainment, the same production company behind the 2005 Bewitched film starring Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell, set to produce the project.
