Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign- Gets US Release Date and Additional Details
Originally just going by a rough Holiday 2014 release window for the US version of Arc System Works’ Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign-, battle-ready players now have a proper release date. Eager fighters will get to rock it out on December 16 according to Aksys Games, the US publisher of the title. This puts a really short gap between the Japanese and American releases to the game, as the Japanese launch is set for December 4. A trailer was revealed with the release date attached to the end, which can be seen below.

The first image of the Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign- Limited Edition coming to the United States has also been revealed, showcasing the special Backyard-inspired outer box, vocal arrange music CD, keychain, and history/artbook. In addition, some brand new details have been confirmed regarding the game itself from the official website. In a manner similar to Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, another ASW fighting game port, Guilty Gear Xrd’s DLC character (Elphelt, the dress-wearing fighter equipped with several different firearms) will be free for a limited time instead of her usual $8 price tag upon the US launch. Also newly confirmed is the addition of an English language audio track alongside the Japanese audio and English subtitles. The classic fighting game series makes its return on the PlayStation 3 and 4, and serves as one of the first few fighting games on Sony’s new console. If you own a PS4 and are looking for a fighting game to duke it out with your friends in, this may be one to keep your eye on.
