Perez Hilton Fires Back at Jennifer Lawrence

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has fired back at Jennifer Lawrence after she blasted him for posting nude photos of her on his website, insisting he was sincere when he apologized to the actress.

The Hunger Games star was among dozens of famous women targeted by hackers, who accessed cloud storage accounts and stole hundreds of private, intimate pictures, which were later published online.

Hilton’s website was among those on which the photographs were posted and in the new issue of Vanity Fair, Lawrence singled Perez out for his take on the drama.

She says, “He took it down because people got p**sed, and that’s the only reason why. And then I had to watch his apology. And what he basically said was ‘I just didn’t think about it’. I just didn’t think about it is not an excuse. That is the exact issue itself.”

Now Hilton is defending himself, insisting he handled the situation correctly.

In a video message, he says, “She mentions how she was forced to watch the video I made right after her naked photos surfaced online. In that video, I apologised to her sincerely from my heart and I did so more than once. And I was tempted to apologise to her again, but you know what… No, f**k that.

“Life isn’t always what you want. And you don’t always get what you ask for… That video that I made and me explaining my thought process was real, it was sincere, and it wasn’t some bulls**t made up excuse… I did not intend to hurt Jennifer Lawrence, it was carelessness…

“I’m not trying to be Oprah. I am just a better version of me than I was 10 years ago. Do I still have work to do? Can I still be even better? F**k yeah, but I am not that person in the past.”

Despite his anger towards Lawrence’s reaction, Hilton admits he knows why she is upset and he is apologetic about contributing to her anger.

He continues, “You were extremely hurt. I contributed to that. I genuinely am sorry. I hope that you can look inside my brain and see that I truly, truly did not premeditatively, purposely decide to hurt you. And that’s all that I have to say, I will not be making any more comments on this. Or maybe I will…”
