PETA Debuts New Ad Featuring ‘The Walking Dead’ Star Christian Serratos
PETA has scared up a new ad, featuring The Walking Dead‘s Christian Serratos, in an attempt to sway more people over to the vegetarian side of life.
The ad showcases Christian in a Día de los Muertos–inspired setting, wearing a corset and calavera-inspired makeup and standing in a fog-filled graveyard.
“I had a plethora of reasons for going vegetarian,” says Serratos in an exclusive interview with PETA. “I just felt better and brighter and lighter, and I had more energy …. It was a big deal to me, being an animal lover, that I realized what I was eating, and I didn’t separate myself from, say, my animals, my pets.”
This isn’t the first time Christian has worked with the organization either. She has been working with PETA since she was 14, and at the age of 19, Christian was the youngest person to star in the group’s “Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign.
Other celebs who’ve teamed up with PETA in the past include: Joaquin Phoenix, Tia Mowry, Eva Mendes, Mayim Bialik, and Constance Marie. These stars and many others have worked together with PETA to promote healthy, humane meat-free meals.
We love this look on Christian! Let us know what you think of the ad in the comments below!
