Daniel Radcliffe Pitches Cop Movie to ‘The Rock’

Daniel Radcliffe publicly pitched a cop movie idea to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in a bid to land a role opposite his wrestling hero.

The 25-year-old reveals he used to imitate wrestlers as a child to perfect his American accent and now he’s become a movie star, he would love to team up with fighter-turned-actor The Rock, even though he openly admits they would make an unlikely pair onscreen.

Radcliffe has even come up with his own idea for a project he hopes the action man would be interested in.

During an appearance on America’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, he explained, “The Rock was always my favorite… and I harbor a not-so-secret desire to somehow find a part for me and Dwayne Johnson to play in the same movie…

“My initial thought was a buddy cop movie about two kind of unlikely partners who are forced to work together and then are bonded by… their love of music… (The film would be) called Siren Song, so we could pitch that (to Johnson)… Wouldn’t you like to see me and The Rock do that?”

Turning to the camera, Radcliffe appealed directly to Johnson to get in touch, saying, “So The Rock, if you want to make (this film)…!”

And Radcliffe’s enthusiasm for a joint project wouldn’t be a surprise for Johnson, because he already knows how big a fan the Brit is of his days in the ring.

The actor added, “He knows I’m a fan ’cause I’ve had mutual friends who’ve dressed him on other films and stuff, so I actually have a T-shirt that one of them got him to make me… well they made it, he took the picture… but it’s just a T-shirt with a picture of him holding up a sign saying, ‘Dan Radcliffe, Number One Fan’, which I have, I have that!”
