Atlanta Weekly Filming Roundup: ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ ‘Magic Mike XXL’ and More

Here’s your Atlanta Weekly Filming Roundup for the week of October 26th- Nov 1:

Coming Soon

• The Ring 3 (yes, that’s a thing) is set to film in Conyers at East Mountain Studios later in the month.

• Deathless starring Liev Schreiber and Diane Kruger, will shoot in the city starting in November and continue through January.

• Robert De Niro/Zac Efron buddy comedy Dirty Grandpa will film here.

• Captain America 3 is scheduled to start filming in Atlanta in April.

Currently in Production

• The Walking Dead was spotted filming on Airport Rd in Griffin.

• The Nice Guys, starring nice guys Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling, was seen filming in Castleberry Hill and near Decatur. The production currently (meaning as of  TODAY) shooting at Cone St. , Williams St. and Poplar Street.

• The Red Road was seen filming Faith Christian Center on South Cobb Dr in Smyrna.

• The Fifth Wave filmed on Westminster Dr in Atlanta.

• The Vampire Diaries filmed  in Decatur.

• The Nth Ward was seen shooting  in Conyers.

• Magic Mike XXL shot at Jekyll Island this week.

Celebrity Sightings

• Rihanna had an appearance Lenox to launch her new fragrance and was seen eating a Prime with a huge entourage afterward.

• Ryan Gosling was spotted grabbing dinner at the Buckhead Diner.

• Slash, Chloe Grace Moretz, The Vampire Diaries cast members and The Walking Dead cast members were all spotted at Netherworld Haunted House over the course of the past week.
