Linda Cardellini is set to star alongside Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell when they reteam for comedy Daddy’s Home.
Cardellini, known for roles on popular shows Freaks and Geeks and Mad Men, has signed on to portray Ferrell’s character’s wife, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Daddy’s Home centers on Ferrell playing a mild-mannered radio executive who strives to become the best stepdad to his wife’s two children, but he hits a roadblock once the kids’ freeloading biological father, played by Wahlberg, arrives and the two men compete for the affection of the children.
Horrible Bosses 2 director Sean Anders is set to take charge and Red Granite Pictures will co-produce, with production slated to begin later this year.
Linda is also starring in a new Netflix series, Bloodline, which is set in the Florida Keys and centers on a close-knit family of four adult siblings whose secrets and scars are revealed when their black sheep brother returns home.
