Syfy Releases New ‘Ascension’ Promo and Behind-the-Scenes Videos

Syfy’s new mini-series event Ascension debuts next week and Syfy has released an all-new promo, along with some behind-the scenes looks, for fans.

According to Syfy, Ascension begins in 1963, when the U.S. government launched a covert space mission sending hundreds of men, women and children on a century-long voyage aboard the starship Ascension to populate a new world. Nearly 50 years into the journey, as they approach the point of no return, a mysterious murder of a young woman causes the ship’s population to question the true nature of their mission.

The series stars Tricia Helfer – known and loved by million as Cylon Number Six in Battlestar Galactica– as Viondra Denniger, Brian Van Holt will play William Denninger, Andrea Roth as Juliet Bryce and Brandon P. Bell as First Officer Oren Gault.

Also appearing in the show are Tiffany Lonsdale as Chief Astronomer Emily Vanderhaus, the older sister of the murder victim and PJ Boudousque as one of the ship’s maintenance workers.
