Netflix Reveals Character Posters from 'Marco Polo'

Marco Polo is the new historical drama series coming to Netflix and the network recently released eight character posters featuring the main cast.

Marco Polo stars newcomer Lorenzo Richelmy as the title character and is based in a world replete with greed, betrayal, sexual intrigue and rivalry. The series is based on the famed explorer’s adventures in Kublai Khan’s court in 13th century China and its ten episode first season was shot on-location, between Italy, Kazakhstan and Malaysia.

The global cast includes Richelmy, Benedict Wong (Prometheus), Joan Chen (Twin Peaks), Chin Han (Arrow, The Dark Knight), Zhu Zhu (Cloud Atlas), Olivia Cheng (The Flash, Broken Trail), Claudia Kim (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Mahesh Jadu (Neighbors), Tom Wu (Skyfall), Remy Hii (Treading Water), Uli Latukefu (Devil’s Playground) and Rick Yune (Olympus Has Fallen, The Fast and the Furious).

Zhu Zhu stars as Kokachin, “the blue princess” who is caught in a forbidden romantic relationship with Marco Polo, in the Netflix original series Marco Polo.

Uli Latukefu stars as Byamba, a Mongolian warrior and one of Kublai Khan’s sons from his relationship with a concubine, in the Netflix original series Marco Polo.

Joan Chen stars as Empress Chabi, Kublai Khan’s strong-willed wife, in the Netflix original series Marco Polo.

Olivia Cheng stars as Mei Lin, a royal concubine in the Song Dynasty and the sister of Jia Sidao, in the Netflix original series Marco Polo.

Benedict Wong stars as the great Kublai Khan who takes Marco Polo under his wing during his expansive rule in the Netflix original series Marco Polo.

Chin Han stars as Jia Sidao, an influential chancellor in the Song court, in the Netflix original series Marco Polo

Tom Wu stars as Hundred Eyes, Marco Polo’s blind martial arts trainer, in the Netflix original series Marco Polo.

Remy Hii stars as Prince Jingim, Kublai Khan’s son in the Netflix original series Marco Polo.
