Katy Perry Sounds Off Against ‘Perverted’ Australian Paparazzi

Katy Perry has lashed out at the Australian paparazzi after one “perverted” snapper stripped naked and pestered her to pose for a bikini shot while on a nudist beach in Sydney.

The hitmaker, who is currently Down Under as part of her world tour, was taking a stroll on gay-friendly Obelisk Beach on Friday, ahead of her gig in the city, when a group of photographers began trailing her.

She claims they began badgering her relentlessly and vowed they’d only leave her alone if she agreed to let them snap her in her bikini. She refused, and Perry subsequently took to her Instagram to slam the snappers for their rude and disrespectful behavior.

In a lengthy (now-deleted) post, she wrote:

“Australia PRESS: you should be ashamed of your paparazzi & tabloid culture. Your paparazzi have no respect, no integrity, no character. NO HUMANITY.

“I was stalked by many grown men today as I tried to take a quiet walk to the beach. These men would not stop as I pleaded over & over to let me have my space. Many other people stopped to try to help but the paps continued to laugh at me & hold their barrels up & shoot. They told me to make a ‘deal’ with them. Give them a bathing suit shot and they would leave me be.

“This is PERVERTED & disgusting behavior that should NEVER be tolerated, especially by people who do NOT want this. I will NEVER make a deal with paparazzi and I will not befriend anyone who perpetuates this kind of behavior.”

The singer, who also shared her own pictures of the men in question, continued her rant on Sunday as she urged press editors not to use the snaps from her disrupted beach day, and she then singled out one notorious paparazzo for particular criticism after he allegedly shed his clothes in front of Perry.

In a series of Twitter posts, she wrote, “Remember AUS (Australia) anyone printing or posting unauthorized photos of me in a bikini from these DISGUSTING/PERVERTED OLD MEN is AGAINST my will!

Fawcett previously hit headlines in 2005 amid allegations he had bugged Nicole Kidman’s Sydney home. He was ordered to pay the Oscar winner $1 million in compensation.

He also faced legal action from former Spice Girls star Melanie Brown last year, amid allegations of harassment.
