Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch Confirmed for ‘True Detective’

Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch have been confirmed as Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn’s castmates in the second season of True Detective.

HBO bosses in America announced the news on Monday, revealing production on the eight-episode drama has begun in California.

Kitsch confirmed his involvement in the series a few weeks ago and McAdams has been in talks for the role since at least September.

Fast & Furious director Justin Lin will take charge of the first two episodes.

The new season of the hit show will revolve around three police officers and a career criminal, who team up to solve a bizarre murder.

Farrell, McAdams and Kitsch will play the cops and Vaughn will portray criminal Frank Semyon.

Jessica Biel and Malin Ackerman were both reportedly considered for McAdams’ role.

The first season of the TV drama, which aired in America earlier this year, featured Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey.
