Dave Annable and Mandy Moore Talk ‘Red Band Society’ Relationships

During a recent set visit for Fox’s Red Band Society, FanBolt sat down with Dave Annable who plays Dr. Jack McAndrew and Mandy Moore who plays his ex, Dr. Erin Grace. We chatted with the pair about their relationship on the show and the introduction of the adult love interests on the series.

There has been a small shift in the series to also focus on adult relationships. The series EPs had recently said this was an attempt to make the series more “soapy.” What did Dave and Mandy have to say on that note?

“I think they’re leaving room to have, potentially, love interests, fling.. a re-fling…” Annable starts.

“Oh I’m a fling?” Moore jokingly says. “Thanks…”

“I’m kidding,” Annable quickly recovers while laughing – and pretending to detach our recording devices. “I think they’re leaving it open, and obviously adding this sort of adult love triangle – potentially. Which would get away from the kids and the kids’ love triangle, and have a little adult soapy aspect of it.”
