Bill Cosby’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Vandalized

Vandals have taken aim at embattled comedian Bill Cosby scrawling the word “rapist” all over his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Reports suggest the sidewalk honor was defaced in the early hours of Thursday, and officials at the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce have since had the marker ink scrubbed from the star.

A statement issued by a spokeswoman for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce reads: “When people are unhappy with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways then to vandalize a California State landmark.”

The defacing of the star comes days after Cosby filed a countersuit against Judy Huth, who accused him of sexually assaulting her at the Playboy Mansion in California in 1974, when she was just 15.

He is also facing accusations of sexual assault from a string of other women, including model Janice Dickinson, who claims the 77-year-old drugged and raped her in 1982.

Cosby’s legal representatives have continued to deny the accusations against the comedian, who has had a number of shows on his current stand-up tour cancelled or postponed in light of the scandal.

The controversy has also prompted him to resign from advisory boards at his alma maters and cost him the title of honorary petty officer for the U.S. Navy.
