‘The Interview’ Reportedly Pulled from Five Major Theater Chains

The hits for The Interview keep on coming with news of five major theaters deciding to pull the film.

According to The Wrap.com, AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas, Cinemark, Carmike Cinemas and Cineplex have all opted out of showing the controversial Seth Rogen/James Franco film due to a new threat that surfaced from the Sony hackers yesterday.

Regal and AMC are 2 of the biggest movie theater chains in the U.S. and Cinemark is Canada’s largest theater chain, so the box office pullings of the film are certain to take a hit when it releases on Christmas Day.

Also according to the site, promotional screenings that were to be held in Baltimore, Cincinnati, Detroit and Austin have also been canceled.

Let us know what you think about the decision to pull the film from multiple theaters, whether or not it’s warranted and what Sony should do in the comments below.
