Nicki Minaj Releases ‘The Pinkprint Movie’

Nicki Minaj as released a short film to go with songs from her new album, The Pinkprint.

The rapper released her latest record earlier this month, and on Friday, she gave fans an extra treat with a 16-minute The Pinkprint Movie music video.

The promo is split into three acts, “The Crying Game,” “I Lied” and “Grand Piano,” each of which are songs from the album, and the narrative follows the story of a relationship falling apart.

Minaj appears in the film alongside actor Boris Kodjoe.

Reports suggest The Pinkprint album was inspired by Minaj’s split from longtime boyfriend Safaree Samuels. The two also got into a pretty public Twitter spat over the weekend, with Nicki accusing Safaree of trying to blackmail her and Safaree saying Nicki never gave him the attention he needed.
