Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Will Reportedly Meet with Pope Francis

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will reportedly fly to Italy this month for a special meeting with Pope Francis.

The Hollywood couple has organized a ‘VIP meet-and-greet’ with the Pontiff at the Vatican and have already sent a security team to the city to prepare for their arrival later this month, according to UsWeekly magazine.

The stars do not consider themselves religious but wanted to take time out of their busy awards season schedule to meet with the leader of the Catholic Church because they “admire” his work and “like the Pope’s message”.

Pope Francis has been revered for having a more tolerant way of thinking on a number of topics, including homosexuality, than previous popes. On the subject of homosexuality and the church, he was famously quoted as saying, “If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has goodwill, who am I to judge?”
