MTV’s ‘Nicki Minaj: My Time Again’ Follows Superstar’s Evolution

MTV is preparing to, once again, give Nicki Minaj fans a behind-the-scenes, deeply personal window into the world of hip hop titan with the premiere of the second part of their Nicki Minaj documentary trilogy, Nicki Minaj: My Time AGAIN.

“I’m very thankful to MTV that I get to release a very truthful documentary for my fans surrounding the release of The PinkPrint. I fully trust them to keep the integrity of my journey while giving such a personal glimpse into my guarded world. Our first movie together, “My Time Now,” became an instant classic among my core fans who’ve been asking us to do it again for years. They will be very pleased with this new installment. I’m very excited about it,” said Nicki in a statement.

According to the network, the documentary will follow Nicki through the streets of her native Southside Jamaica, Queens, as she recounts memories of growing up in a one-room basement apartment with her family. The second part of the documentary picks up with Nicki in the recording studio, capturing her creative genius, her battle to stay at the top of the rap game, and her uncensored perspectives on her contemporaries and the state of hip hop in America.

Barbz get ready for more Nicki than you can handle because in anticipation of Nicki Minaj: My Time AGAIN , MTV will premiere Nicki Minaj’s MTV Moments: #Barbzforlife on Sunday, January 18 at 10:30am ET/PT. The 30-minute special will showcase the biggest and best MTV moments of Nicki’s career – iconic performances, groundbreaking videos, candid interviews, fan testimonials and more. Then, MTV Hits and MTV Jams will highlight Nicki’s musical accomplishments on January 18th, leading to the premiere of My Time AGAIN at 10:00pm ET/PT.
