CW Renews ‘Vampire Diaries,’ ‘Supernatural’ And 6 Other Series

CW’s President Mark Pedowitz announced renewal of The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, The Originals, Reign, Arrow, Jane the Virgin, The 100 and The Flash today at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena. This means that all of CW’s scripted series from its Fall 2014 schedule have been renewed.

“Each of these series have helped define what The CW is today, a network that is home to smart, provocative, quality programming, targeting a savvy adult audience,” said Pedowitz. “By picking up these shows now, our executive producers can start planning next season’s storylines, and rolling these shows out throughout next season guarantees The CW will have more proven original series for our fall, midseason and summer 2016 line-ups.”

This will be the 11th season for Supernatural and the 7th season for The Vampire Diaries! Specific premiere dates for each series will be announced later – likely in the summer.
