Chris Brown Concert Shooting Leaves Five People Wounded
Five people have been shot after a Chris Brown concert at a California nightclub ended in violence.
The hitmaker was hosting a show at the Fiesta nightclub in San Jose in the early hours on Sunday, when an unidentified gunman opened fire, according to TMZ.
Video footage of the incident depicts a shocked but uninjured Brown being rushed to safety in the midst of the chaos.
Police were called to the scene, where four of the victims had to be transported to a local hospital for treatment. The fifth later sought out medical treatment on their own.
A number of people were detained by authorities, but at the time of publication it was unclear if any arrests had been made.
It’s not the first time an event featuring Brown has been disrupted by gunfire – in August, a party hosted by the R&B star came crashing to an end after rap mogul Marion ‘Suge’ Knight was shot at the Los Angeles bash. Knight survived his injuries.
Brown’s name was also linked to a California nightclub stabbing in September, when a man was attacked as he left the Supperclub, shortly after the singer had performed onstage.
