‘Glee’ Star Melissa Benoist Set to Star in ‘Supergirl’

Glee‘s Melissa Benoist has been cast to play the coveted role of Kara Zor-El in the CBS adaptation of Supergirl.

Melissa has starred as Marley Rose in FOX’s hit series Glee since the show’s fourth season and with the series set to end this year, Melissa has already secured her next gig as the superhero.

According to the network, the series follows Kara, who escaped Krypton amid its destruction years ago, hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin, Superman, since arriving on Earth. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero she was always meant to be.

You can also look out for Melissa in Danny Collins opposite Al Pacino, Billy Boy and upcoming Nicholas Sparks film The Longest Ride.
