Bobbi Kristina Brown Still ‘Fighting for Her Life’

Bobbi Kristina Brown is “fighting for her life” as she remains hospitalized following a near-drowning incident on Saturday, according to family members.

Whitney Houston’s only child with ex-husband Bobby Brown was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub by her husband Nick Gordon, who performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on her before emergency medics arrived at the couple’s Roswell, Georgia home and took the unconscious 21-year-old to a nearby hospital.

Reports suggest she was placed in a medically-induced coma and on Monday, the Houston family revealed Bobbi Kristina’s health isn’t progressing as well as they had hoped it would, releasing a statement, which reads: “Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family. As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time. Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, and we greatly appreciate your continued support.”

In his statement on Sunday, the hitmaker also requested privacy, adding, “Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time.”

The scare comes almost three years to the day Bobbi Kristina’s mother drowned in the bathtub of a Beverly Hills hotel suite as she prepared for mentor Clive Davis’ annual Grammy Awards eve party.

While the soul superstar’s death was drug related, authorities from the local Roswell Police Department did not spot any suspicious substances during an initial sweep of the home her daughter shares with Gordon.

Officers are still investigating the incident and have executed a search warrant on the property.
