Resident Evil HD Remaster is Capcom’s Fastest Selling Digital Title

Capcom put out a press release this morning stating that Resident Evil HD Remaster is the company’s fastest selling digital title in history across North America and Europe. The remake of the 1996 survival horror game, which released last month, also broke the record for the biggest selling day seen by a digital title on the PlayStation Network.

Capcom’s Producer on the title, Yoshiaki Hirabyashi, commented in a press release saying that, “It’s been great to see so many positive comments from fans that have enjoyed this new release. The team here at Capcom Japan have worked hard to bring the game to the latest generation of consoles and we are thrilled at this news on its performance.”

Resident Evil HD Remaster includes updated visuals, sound, and even a new Very Easy Mode for players who struggle with everything the mansion throws at them! My play-through certainly brought back many “haunting memories” from when I played the original almost 20 years ago.
