Kevin Costner Hopes Bobbi Kristina Brown ‘Gets a Second Chance’

Kevin Costner has offered Whitney Houston’s daughter his prayers as she continues to fight for life in a Georgia hospital 24 hours after fans and family members staged a candlelight vigil for her.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, Houston’s only child from her marriage to Bobby Brown, was admitted to an Atlanta-area hospital on January 31 and placed in a medically-induced coma after her partner Nick Gordon found her unresponsive and face down in a bathtub at their Roswell, Georgia home. She has since been moved to Emory University Hospital.

And, as the third anniversary of her mother’s death approaches, Houston’s The Bodyguard co-star Costner tells Nightline he’s hoping for a miracle.

He says, “I hope that God opens her eyes and lets her breathe and lets her brain work, and she gets a second chance.

“My thoughts are probably similar to everyone, which is, obviously, the similarities, what’s going on, the worry that this might have happened again. Where is this little girl going to go when you lose your mother?

“The facts are the facts right now, that she’s sitting here, fighting for her life, surrounded by the people who love her the most. We understand the pressure they’re under and I think nobody wants more than her family – and if she could speak for herself – to have a second chance at this most precious life that we are all given.”

Houston drowned in a bathtub in a Beverly Hills hotel suite on February 11. Her death was drug related.
