‘The Big Bang Theory’ Star Jim Parsons Receives Hollywood Walk of Fame Star
The cast of The Big Bang Theory took to the streets of Los Angeles on Wednesday to honor their colleague Jim Parsons as the actor unveiled his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The funnyman was honoured with the 2,545th plaque on the famous sidewalk attraction, and he was supported at the red carpet ceremony by his co-stars Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik, Melissa Rauch and Simon Helberg.
The actors all posed for pictures together with Parsons as he unveiled his star and he was also joined at the event by his mother Judy and his longtime boyfriend Todd Spiewak.
Speaking after the event, Parsons revealed he was overcome with nerves at the unveiling ceremony, saying, “The biggest thing going through my mind was, ‘Oh my God so many people are watching’, there’s nobody to take the attention away for a few minutes and that’s a little awkward actually. But the other side of it is sort of incomprehensible… To say this is a dream come true really is the wrong statement, it was far enough away that it wasn’t even a dream. It’s the sweetest, strangest experience I’ve ever had I think.”
Parson’s honor comes just months after his castmate Cuoco unveiled her own sidewalk star.
