Jennifer Lawrence Confirms Next ‘X-Men’ Film Will Be Her Last

Jennifer Lawrence recently confirmed that the next X-Men film X-Men: Apocalypse will indeed be her final appearance as blue mutant Mystique.

The actress spoke with MTV News at the red carpet premiere of her new film Serena, and confirmed when asked about Apocalypse stated that, “It is my last one, actually.”

Interestingly enough, Lawrence’s ex-boyfriend and X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult also recently confirmed to E! News that he wouldn’t be returning to the series after Apocalypse, either. “This is the last one I’m signed up for,” the actor told the network.

You can catch Lawrence as Mystique one last time when X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters May 27, 2016.

Will you be sad to see Lawrence exit the franchise? What do you think this means for the direction of the films in general?
