Adam Levine Developing New Reality Competition

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and former Eurythmics star Dave Stewart are teaming up to launch a new reality show to shine the light on talented songwriters.

The pair will work with Audrey Morrissey, executive producer of singing contest The Voice – on which Levine is a coach, to produce Songland, a new competition aimed at giving everyday people the chance to pitch original compositions to industry heavyweights and artists, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Also according to the site, “The project is expected to feature everyday people with compelling stories who get the opportunity to pitch original compositions to the music industry’s biggest producers and artists, all hunting for the next global smash.”

A launch date for the project, which is in the early stages of development, has yet to be announced.

  1. What a wonderful idea. I love watching him on the voice. He gives new artist good advice while encouraging them to believe in themselves, helping to develop the character behind the voice. I think he will do a great job. It would be nice to see it follow the Voice just so viewers will know when to watch.
