Is Kendrick Lamar Engaged to His High School Sweetheart?

Kendrick Lamar has sparked rumors he is engaged to wed his longtime girlfriend after she was spotted wearing a large diamond on her ring finger.

The rapper, 27, was hosting a meet and greet session with fans in his native Compton, California to promote his new album To Pimp A Butterfly on Saturday, and his high school sweetheart, model Whitney Alford, was on hand to support her man.

Eagle-eyed devotees have since pointed out what appears to be an engagement ring on her left hand in photos taken at the event, prompting speculation the couple is set to wed.

Lamar, who has kept his personal life private since shooting to fame, has yet to comment on the reports.

The couple has been dating for 10 years.

If the news is true, it will be another reason for the hip-hop star to celebrate after his sophomore album shot to the top of the U.K. albums chart on Sunday.
