Emilia Clarke and Peter Dinklage Talk ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5
The Game of Thrones season 5 premiere was held in San Francisco last night and the Emilia Clarke and Peter Dinklage were on hand to give hints about what’s in store for their characters this season.
Last season was a rough one for everyone, including Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen, who made the tough choice to lock away two of her precious dragons after a child ended up dead. Although Dany’s rebel dragon Drogon is still missing at the close of the season, Clarke hinted that he won’t be gone too long.”It’s a dragon season, so they are definitely making a couple of appearances,” the actress told The Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve lost one, so we’ll have to see if I can find him again.”
Dinklage, whose turn as Tyrion Lannister last season took viewers through the emotional gamut, ended up having to flee his home after being accused (and found guilty) of killing King Joffrey and actually killing his own father and lover, revealed “He has to find his footing again. He doesn’t care about much of anything when you see him at the start,” said Dinklage. “He has to find his mojo once more, and Varys helps him down that road.”
As you may have seen in the season 5 poster and trailers, Tyrion could very well end up being be the one to find Drogon before Dany. What do you think will happen when the two worlds meet?
Season five of Game of Thrones premieres April 12 on HBO.
