Ryan Gosling Eyeing Guillermo del Toro’s ‘The Haunted Mansion’

Ryan Gosling is reportedly in talks to star in horrormaster Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming film based on Disney’s Haunted Mansion theme park ride.

The Hollywood Reporter confirms Gosling is currently in negotiations to take on a role in the film. Disney has allegedly been wanting to work with Gosling on a project for a while, and it’s looking like The Haunted Mansion will be the one both parties land on.

No plot details have been released yet, but it is said that the movie will be a supernatural family film.

Del Toro’s latest project Crimson Peak is due out in October and the director is also working on a dark remake of classic children’s tale Pinocchio.

Would you like to see Ryan star in the latest Haunted Mansion adaptation? I think it’s safe to assume that with del Toro at the helm, this version will be a LOT better than the 2003 Eddie Murphy movie.
